The word ‘Karaoke’ conjures up images of the local ‘pub singer’ who will insist on inflicting upon the unsuspecting general public the worst rendition of ‘My Way’ one could possibly imagine and, to add insult to injury, he still manages to get the lyrics wrong even though he has ‘performed’ the song 200 times in the last month. Initially it can be funny to watch someone, (and not yourself of course) make a complete and utter fool of themselves but after a while it can become boring and even enough to make one drink up and go home.

OK, so most of us have probably experienced the ‘Karaoke from Hell’ at some time or other but, in contrast, some of the very best entertainers have discovered their own hidden talent on Karaoke and so went on to carve out a successful career in Show Business. Shannon have done exactly that, proving to many ‘doubters’ that, when managed properly, that Karaoke can be and certainly is, one of the most popular forms of entertainment medium this decade.

It is with Karaoke, that Shannon have achieved phenomenal success being described as one of ‘Wales top all girl group.’ The South Wales Argus newspaper has supported the group for many years now, even featuring the group on the front page numerous times. They have been pictured at various events for charity and social occasions where the girls have been invited to perform.

Shannon can be found singing live in Newport's Rack 'n Roll on Friday nights.  Definitely a show not to miss!
